Forest at dawn — the atmosphere of Holistic Chapel

Our Story

A Place That Was Always Waiting

Holistic Chapel began not with a plan, but with a feeling — that somewhere, there ought to be a space where people could arrive exactly as they are.

How We Began

It started with a question: what if there were a place with no doctrine, no performance, no requirement to believe anything in particular — only an open door?

Holistic Chapel grew from a quiet conviction that spiritual life does not belong to any single tradition, and that the hunger for meaning, connection, and stillness is something almost everyone carries — whether they name it that way or not.

We began as a small gathering. A room, a few candles, some people willing to sit together in the uncertainty of not quite knowing what they were looking for. What emerged surprised us: something tender and real, something that wanted to keep meeting.

From that beginning, Holistic Chapel has grown into a living community — one that holds meditation and ceremony, sound and silence, celebration and grief, question and rest. We are not a church, not a wellness studio, not a therapy practice. We are something harder to name, and perhaps more necessary for that.

What We Stand For

A Few Things We Believe

All Are Welcome

We mean this without qualification. Whatever your background, belief, body, identity, or history — you belong here. Holistic Chapel is a space where no one is asked to be other than themselves.

No Doctrine Required

We hold no fixed theology and ask for no particular belief. Our practices draw from many traditions and belong to none. Come curious, come sceptical, come uncertain — all of it is welcome.

Depth Over Performance

We are not interested in spiritual performance or the appearance of wellness. We are interested in what is real — in genuine encounter, honest presence, and the kind of stillness that actually changes something.

Community as Practice

We believe that being in genuine community with others is itself a spiritual practice. The quality of attention we bring to one another — the care, the listening, the willingness to be present — is the work.

Held with Care

Every offering at Holistic Chapel is facilitated by people who take seriously the responsibility of holding space for others. Safety, warmth, and integrity are not optional — they are the foundation.

Accessible to All

We offer many events free of charge or on a donation basis, and we will always find a way for someone to participate who cannot afford to. Spiritual community should not be a luxury.

The Community

You Do Not Have to Arrive Certain

The people who find their way to Holistic Chapel come from every background imaginable. Some have a long spiritual practice. Some have never done anything like this before. Some are grieving. Some are searching. Some simply felt called, without quite knowing why.

What they find, again and again, is that they are not alone in that. The not-knowing is something we share. The longing for something real is something we share. And in that shared uncertainty, something quietly extraordinary tends to happen.

We are not here to have the answers. We are here to sit with the questions together.
